14thGangneung International Junior Art Festival
❏ About the Festival
In 2001, Gangneung City started to host the Gangneung International Junior Art Festival with two purposes in mind: commemorating century‐old Korean culture and helping the youth around the world to better understand each other through their unique cultures and arts. The 14th festival will be held in the Gyeongpo Beach, a popular spot for tourists, and annually 10 million people visit here.

･ Time: 7:00 p.m.－10:30 p.m., every night
Gangneung City will be delighted to invite groups of young performers that meet the criteria specified below, and are willing to adhere to its program schedule. They will have a great time in Korea and will make unforgettable memories to take back home.
❏ Criteria
Group Size: less than 20 members (including staff)
Age Limit: over 13 to less than 18 years old.
Types of Performing Arts: traditional or contemporary /music, as well as popular dance/music (props allowed)
Performance Length: below 20 minutes
❏ Program
All groups must participate in and perform during all of the events: an opening ceremony, a parade, a fireworks show, a main event and a side event. In addition to an opportunity to experience Korean culture and to visit cultural heritage sites and museums, Groups will have time to go to the beach, shop and attend a party held by Gangneung City.
❏ Expenses and Accommodations
Gangneung City will cover all expenses for transportation, accommodations and meals during the festival here in Korea. 6 days and 5 nights will be covered for those from Asia, and 7 days and 6 nights for those from American and Europe, Oceania. Groups will stay at the Kwangdong University dormitory, where rooms with 4 beds are available, and will have buffet meals that have both western and Asian food.
Please note that airfares and shipping fees will not be covered.

If you wish to participate in the festival, please fill out the application form and send it back with the required information by May 20, 2015.
